MC-09 is a combination of a monophonic synthesizer, looping sampler and effects processor.

Sound generation

  • Monophonic lead/bass synthesizer with one oscillator (saw, triangle, square/pulse), LFO with tempo sync (triange, saw, square, S&H), filter (-12/24 dB/octave LPF/BPF/HPF) with ASR envelope, amp with ADSR envelope
  • 3-voice rhythm synthesizer
  • 4-track audio looper

Effects

  • Dedicated effect processor for lead sounds: overdrive, distortion, phaser, slicer + ring modulator
  • Global effects processor with 30 effects including filters, phasers, isolators and slicers; effects can be controlled with the step sequencer

Sequencer

  • 32-step sequencer with slides/accents
  • 100+ preset sounds/patterns, 20 user sounds/patterns; optional SmartMedia card storage for 150 more sounds/patterns

Controls

  • 6 realtime control knobs
  • mixer and effect switches for audio loops
  • MIDI in/out with SysEx load/dump of patches and patterns
