Roland SH-7 (1978)
Monophonic analog synthesizer with 2 VCOs, noise and sub-oscillator, oscillator sync, -24 dB/oct. low-pass VCF, HPF, LFO, ring modulation and external signal processing.
Synthesis
Oscillators
- VCO1A: triangle, saw, square, pulse with PWM (manual/envelope/LFO)
- VCO1B (sub-oscillator): five mixable square waves (32'/16'/8'/4'/2')
- VCO2 (detunable against VCO1): triangle, saw, square, pulse with PWM (manual/envelope/LFO)
- Oscillator sync
Modulation
Filters
- -24 dB/octave, resonant/self-oscillating low-pass VCF contollable by LFO, envelope, S&H and noise source
- static high-pass filter
Envelopes
- Two ADSR envelopes with gate/trigger, gate and LFO-triggered modes
LFOs
- LFO with sine, saw and pulse waveforms
- Adjustable delay time
- Manual sample & hold with selectable source and output lag control
Controls
- 3.5-octave keyboard (44 keys)
- Pitch bender; mod lever: can control VCO, VCA, VCF modulation depths
- Auto-bend with depth and time controls
Inputs/outputs
- External input for processing audio with the VCF/VCA
