Synthesizer module with 128-voice PCM-based synthesizer/sampler, 128 MB wave ROM, u to 544 MB RAM and 6 effects processors.

Synthesis

General

  • 128-voice, 16-part synthesizer
  • 4 tones per patch
  • Each pair of tones can be joined into 10 different structures (serial -24 dB/octave filter, Ring Modulator or Booster)
  • Each tone consists of wave generator (WG), filter (TVF), amplifier (TVA) and 2x LFO generators
  • General MIDI Level 2 compatible sound bank

Generator

  • Preset ROM wave, SRX wave, single sample or multisample can be used in generator
  • FXM with color and depth controls
  • 4-stage pitch envelope

Filter

  • -12 dB/octave resonant/self-oscillating filter
  • Types: LPF, BPF, HPF, Peaking, non-resonant LPF2, LPF3
  • 4-stage envelope

Amplifier (TVA)

  • Tone velocity switching/cross-fading
  • 4-stage envelope

LFO

  • Rate tempo sync
  • Waveform: sine, triangle, saw up/down, trapezoid, square, one-shot up/down, S&H, random, chaos, v-sine, programmable 16-step LFO (step/smooth modes)
  • Standard destinations: pitch, filter cutoff, amp level, amp pan

Matrix Control

  • 4 sources (controllers, LFOs, envelopes)
  • 4 destinations per source (generator/filter/amp parameters, LFO depths/rates, envelopes)

Effects

  • 3 MFX processors with 78 algorithms each (COSM speaker and guitar amp simulation, filters, choruses, flangers, phasers, lo-fi, radio, tape echo, turntable, 3D RSS effects, step-programmed effects, etc.)
  • 24-bit reverb unit
  • Chorus/delay unit
  • 3-band mastering compressor

Sampler

  • Sampling via mic/line input with pre-effect (compressor, limiter, EQ, noise gate, center canceller) with auto/manual divide and auto-trim
  • WAV/AIFF import/export
  • Sample editing (truncate, normalize, envelope, chop, time-stretch)
  • Up to 128 multisamples, 128 zones max in each

Sequencer

  • Any on-screen realtime sound/effects edits can be sent via MIDI as SysEx messages
  • Programmable arpeggiator, rhythm generator and chord memory

Memory

  • 128 MB wave ROM, up to 6x SRX boards
  • 32 MB sample RAM (up to 544 MB with 1x DIMM board)
  • 16 MB internal flash storage RAM
